An ensemble from MVCS will be among the eight local high school groups performing at the annual "Sing for Your Life" concerts at 1pm and 7pm on January 26 at the Crocker Theater at Cabrillo College.
Each school will perform individually, and then all 300 students will come together for the grand finale.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. All the money from tickets sold by students goes directly to their schools.
The concert is sponsored by the Gold Standard Barbershop Chorus, which is the Santa Cruz chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. In addition to this benefit concert, Gold Standard sends quartets into Santa Cruz County's high schools to demonstrate barbershop music during the school year.
