Second Harvest Until Nov. 20

The challenge is on to donate over 2,000 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Drive at Monte Vista Middle School--that's one ton!

The most needed items are:

--soups, stews & chili
--beans, rice & pasta
--canned meat & tuna
--peanut butter
--canned fruit
--low sugar cereal (hot/cold)
--canned vegetables
--100% juice (in plastic bottles)

The food items will be collected in the Middle School Bible classrooms.  As an alternative, a $3 donation counts as one pound of food.

Students will also be doing bake sales and selling hot chocolate to feed the hungry this season.

It's estimated that there are more than 55,000 working poor parents, children and seniors in need of food each month in Santa Cruz County.  Please help us bless them! The food drive will end on November 20th.
